Sweet Volatile (+18) The city of death. It wasn't unusual to wake up to the news reporting another murder, to the point where there were too many murders to report. No one could help the streets, not even the government. The wasteland that held many young adults that would soon grow up to potentially be the one that is murdered with their blood splattered unsystematically. The last thing they remember is the panic, the gunfire that deafened them for moments after before it all came into realization. He was dead. They were suspects, no -accomplices to murder. "WE HAVE TO GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE!" one shouts to the others as two girls are cradling each other in tears. "The fucking cops are gonna pull up!" another screams."YOU FUCKING KILLED HIM!" a girl cries out. "WE ARE WITNESSES!" What else can they do but run? A couple of teenagers committing and witnessing a crime of defense? Everyone please leave feedback, I will be releasing a chapter every week for this novel. Annie Bloom is an average girl. She's in college, has a best friend, works, and studies. Yet one day she finds herself attacked, hospitalized, and nearly killed. Her best friend, Will, is certain it has to do with the guy she just started dating. Is Will jealous? Could her new boyfriend be involved? Or is it someone else entirely? Annie must find out quickly because every day could be her last. *** I could feel nothing but the pain. I felt every hit in excruciating detail with each erratic, painful heartbeat as my world became reduced to a series of agony. I struggled to breath through the broken ribs that constricted my airflow like a two-ton concrete slab had fallen on me. The blood from the blows to my head rolled down my face in waves. My arm was twisted at an impossible angle, yet I couldn't scream because my mouth would not open. I could feel the kicks coming at me from all directions, and as I received another one to the head I knew this was the end for me and my heartbeat slowed. The stab wound was bleeding too much for me to survive. When they left me for dead my eyes began to droop and the last thing I saw through fuzzy tunnel-like sight was a man running towards me before one final rattling breath coursed through my broken body and my heart stopped beating.
