Sandpounce was born into Darkclan, the villainous clan in a system of three others; Dreamclan, Heatherclan, and Leafclan. Apprenticed at four moons old and given the deputy to mentor him, Sandpounce's life got off to a rocky start. When his mother, Oceanbreeze, woke him up in the middle of the night, the family fled. 

But they didn't all make it out.
