Shu Sakamaki. Every time you walk past him in the halls, you feel your heart race. And yet, his kind smile hides a dark side, which he isn't afraid to show towards his brothers when the need arises. As your persistence shines through, and you get to know this sleeping giant of a boy better, he ends up developing feelings for you, which makes you nervous and wondering whether or not he means it the three words he tells you halfway through the year: I love you.
His loyalty is tested when, as he usually defends you during exchanges with a prideful Shin Tsukinami, he's nowhere to be found. Having found out that he's hiding from his past, and pushing you away because of it, you decide to do little 'cold turkey' yourself, and ignore the usually meaningful gestures Shu tosses your way.
Will he push you further away or want you closer to him in the end?
Ari and Soren's adventures continue as Soren struggles with his new vampiric urges and a coven of witches attempts to recruit Ari for their own ends.
*****
As dark dreams plague Soren, Ari finds his new abilities difficult to control. Something is awakening within him, and as his power grows, he attracts the attention of a group of witches who call themselves the Hecataeon. They believe Ari is an emanation of the goddess Hecate - a physical manifestation of her power - and they want that power for themselves. With their relationship facing challenges from within, Ari and Soren must find a way to unite their strengths before external forces tear them apart.
