Grier Johnson has it all, the good looks, rich and famous parents, and she's the most popular girl at St. Agnes High. Although she appears superficial and onesided to everyone at school, she often finds herself in a hole when she can't express who she truly is without breaking her popular status.
Everett Griffin hasn't had it as easy as Grier has despite going to the same schools for the past five years. The once bullied boy with the thick glasses and lean frame comes back from summer break looking as hot as ever. But he also comes back with a tragic summer that no one knows about.
Although he tries to stay under the radar, it's quite impossible when Grier and Everett are the only two in the music producing class.

Originally written: January-June 2019 Edited: February 2023 Hayes lets go of my hand to cradle my face. "Hey what's wrong? You look like you want to cry." "I love you," I admit on an exhale. A single tear manages to escape as the emotions ease as the weight of the words are no longer sitting in my chest. Hayes' gaze softens as his thumb slowly strokes my cheek. "So why are you crying?" "Because it's scary," I whisper to him. Hayes leans his forehead against mine. "You don't have to scared, baby. I've loved you since the moment I saw you. Every time I've held you, every time I've kissed you, every time I've looked at you, I've wanted to tell you just how in love with you I am." We all have that one crush that we can never get over. We want to move on, but we can't. We always go back to that person. Breckyn has wanted to get over her crush on Scott, and when Hayes Grier, the new guy, comes into her life, everything changes. For the bad or for the good? Will Breckyn be able to move on or will she be left broken? Can she set aside her own fears or will they come crashing down on her? -swearing, sexual innuendos, and mentions/implications of sex in later chapters
