This is hardly a change in routine for fifteen year-old Lexi Martin.  For as long as she can remember, her and her father have always moved non-stop due to his job, and it's no surprise that its happened again.  The only difference this time, is the fact her father has a more long-term approach to her education - boarding school.  The prestigious Lockwood Academy is just what you would imagine in a high-class boarding school - except for the fact that its also the American training grounds for the race of Protectors, indebted to keeping peace and preserving balance between creature and mankind.  So how does an ordinary typical like Lexi find herself dragged into their world?
