Ang makabagong mundo ng mga tao ay pinamumugaran ng mga masasamang elemento at halimaw. Dahil dito ay nag-tatag ang mga Engkanto sa iba't ibang panig ng mundo ng isang organisasyon na kinabibilangan ng mga mangangaso o Hunters na ang pangunahing layunin ay mapuksa at malipol ang mga kampon ng kadiliman. Sa Pilipinas isa sa pinakamalakas at kilalang pangkat ang Lanterna at tulad ng isang ilawan ay may layon itong mag hatid ng kaliwanagan sa sanglibutan.
Ang Lanterna ay kinaaaniban ng mga taong may angking pambihirang lakas, bilis at abilidad. Ang mga taong ito ay tinawag na mga Mangangaso na nahahati sa anim na uri.
Ang mga ito ay ang mga sumusunod: Tagapangalaga, Tagalipol, Tagapuksa, Taga pag-gamot, Tagatabas at Tagapaglayag.
Ang bawat uri ay may pangalawang uri o sub-type. Halimbawa, karamihan sa mga Tagapuksa ay Elementalist o may kakahayang mag kontrol ng apat na elemento tulad ng apoy, tubig, lupa at hangin. Ang ilan sa kanila ay may kakayahang mag kontrol ng alin man sa apat ngunit may mga Tagapuksa na kayang kontrolin ang apat na elemento o higit pa.

She had good friends, good grades, a happy family, a loving boyfriend, and an overall content life, seemingly having everything a person could ask for. However, when she somehow gets thrown into the mix and is in the crossfires of a brutal mafia war that she has no business being a part of, things spiral out of control and she has to do whatever it takes to regain her freedom.
