In the modern world every person has a timer.

That timer counts down to zero and that is when you will meet your soulmate, every timer has a different set of hours and numbers that is only shared with your other half. 

The only way to see the timer is to look through a special peice of equipment, binoculars with a special upgrade. Very few people can see the timers without the binoculars.

When you counter is a day, sometimes more or less, from reaching zero people start to get strong urges to do things, like go to a bus station or go to a bookstore and when they do those things things they meet their soulmate.

When two soulmates meet a loud ringing is heard and the name of their soulmate is placed where the timer used to be
