Seven teenagers are kidnapped to be experimented on. They develop powers and are forced to go to school, with others like them, to prepare. Prepare for a war. They will have to fight teenagers just like them, but these teenagers have been brainwashed into their robotic-like forms. These seven will struggle with love, heartbreak, death, and life. They will save their abnormal school, that is starting to feel more like home than they ever thought it would.

When twins Skylar and Jake were born, their scientist parents used them as an experiment. As a result each twin got only half of the traits they were originally supposed to get. Skylar got the strength and speed while Jake got the brains. When they realized what had happened, the twins' parents immediately put them up for adoption, so neither one knew of the other. 12 years later Skylar is constantly failing all her classes, and Jake is getting bullied because he is so much weaker than other kids. But then Skylar's adoptive family decides to move across the country to find a new school for their daughter, which happens to be the school Jake goes to. They meet completely by accident.
