Tragedy and trauma cause those suffering to lead very different lives in the aftermath, and for Teegan Bailey it meant moving across the country to try and live a normal life. Growing up in Olympia, Washington, she decides to go to Fort Lauderdale, Florida to live with her aunt and cousin for a year, while also interning at the local hospital. With her cousin's help, she's able to meet an amazing group of friends and she begins to finally feel normal. That is until Asher Grey, football star and "it" guy, gets hurt in one of the last football games of the season. He's always calm, cool, and collected until he's surrounded by medical professionals, which makes him incredibly nervous. Except for one. Teegan gets assigned to caring for him while his parents are away, and as they spend more time together, Asher continues to dig into her past, making Teegan fear he'll figure out her true reasoning for moving to Florida. Will Teegan be able to get the normal life she's striving for? Or will her past catch up to her and jeopardize everything? *DISCLAIMER: there are issues discussed in here that could be triggering to some readers*
