" I've been reckless, but I'm not a rebel without a cause " ~ Angelina Jolie. I looked up at at the stars. They were beautiful. For once in my life I felt happiness, a happiness that everyone wanted but might already have. Unfortunately, I wouldn't know. I turned my head over to my best friend Nick, who understands me more than anyone else in the entire world and I understand him just the same. He looked at me and smiled. Of course, I smiled back at him. His smile and blue eyes made me feel safe inside. " Isn't it beautiful, Hail?" He asked me quietly. " Yes, unlike anything I have ever see before." I let the silence take over our conversation. It was unbearably peaceful. I am not used to things being peaceful. I grew up in a bad household. A father who is a raging alcoholic and a mother who is barely ever around (and could honestly care less about what happens in my life) pretty much sums it up. I have never once felt normal. Other teenagers at my school talk about going on camping trips with their parents and doing fun things while I am at home breathing in the fumes of cigarette smoke and vodka. The only thing meaningful in my life is Nick. I again looked up at the stars and thought where I was at this very moment. Just us in the middle of nowhere. Just us.

The Opposite of Falling Apart by titanically-

WATTPAD BOOKS EDITION There are imperfect moments in every life-but sometimes, there are perfect accidents . . . What's the point of pretending nothing has changed when everything has? It's the last summer before college, and Jonas Avery knows he should be excited. Instead, he hides out at home, avoiding his friends, his family, and everything that resembles his old life. Because nothing will be normal again-because of The Accident, when everything started falling apart. Brennan Davis knows she needs to stand up and face her anxiety-the deep, dark, debilitating dread that rules her everyday life. Because what stops her from going out into the world and just living is going to get a whole lot worse. She's leaving for college in the fall, where she'll be confronted with even more to worry about. To get back up sometimes you have to fall down, hard . . . When Jonas crashes into Brennan-in a harmless, albeit embarrassing fender bender-the two teens connect in ways they never expected. As friends, they help each other overcome their biggest falls and faults, and soon discover that while love can't fix everything, it's sometimes a place to start. Sensitive, wry, and unabashedly authentic, The Opposite of Falling Apart isn't about finding perfection in another person or fixing the things we think are broken. Instead, Micah Good has penned an enchantingly honest novel about accepting the very pieces of ourselves that make us unique, whole, and undeniably human.
