After the death of her mother, Rosalie's world is turned upside down.

Rosalie Sailor, a teenage girl who despises her father after the incident with her mother. Being one of the top students at the school, she is willing to impress her dream college, Maryland Institute College of Art. All she wants to do is move out with her little brother and out of her childhood home. Unfortunately, she isn't very involved in the school community. Rosalie wants to prove that she is dedicated and engaged with the other students in the school community.

Her two options are musical theatre or tutoring. Her dislike for theatre left her with her last option, tutoring. But sadly, she is paired up with a rude and egotistical new boy at school that needs her help to graduate this year.

Silas Xalvador, a teenage boy held back due to his academics. He moved from California to escape a troubled past. He isn't used to being shown compassion or kindness. All that he ever experienced was pain, loss, and neglect. The last thing he wants is tutoring from a teacher's pet. But, he doesn't have a choice. If he wants to graduate senior year, he needs Rosalie's help.

Will this troubled boy bring more disasters into her life or will he be answering her prayers?
