Once a year, all 18-year-olds are sent to the EI center to be tested. They are put through multiple tests, all testing your knowledge and reaction. They are looking for the imperfects. If they find one, they are killed. But nobody even knows what's so bad about being imperfect. All they know is that you have to be perfect. Nobody can be imperfect. Katiya is determined to find out why. And she won't stop until she knows.
