As we open this book this tells us the story of a boy named Light, which is the son of the two greatest deities ever known. However after his homeland burns down, taking his parents with him. He vows to get vengeance upon their killer.

But alas this does not occur as when he confronted him, he was defeated and left to die.

10,000 years later he awakes in a strange world, with his wounds healed. But at the cost of his memory of the past.

He meets and forms unbreakable bonds with the people around him until he recovered his memory and received some disturbing news.

He is now reminded of the quest he vowed to complete, however he does not want to shatter all the bonds he formed.

As his destiny unravels and becomes clear, his forced to now choose his own path.

This story is the fifth in a ten-book series based on the video game franchise, "Destiny," developed by Bungie. The universe of Destiny is a science-fictional setting taking place in the future, where Humanity has been reduced to a singular city on Earth, and must rely on the Guardians, Humans who wield a power known as the Light, to defend them from various alien threats within the Sol system. This saga is NOT intended to be 100% lore accurate, and should be taken as an alternate timeline from the main canon.
