Ari, short for Ariel, is 17 and is a well-behaved teenager, according to herself. She does well in school, is outgoing, and is a great dancer- but she knows she isn't perfect. Ari is lucky that she has the tendency to get out of trouble, as her adventurous spirit finds trouble like a magnet.
Ari's day-to-day life is pretty consistent. Until 19-year-old Zander moves in. He is the son of family friends who has agreed to maintain a mannerly and proper attitude towards Ari while he boards with the family. He does so to attend a nearby college, allowing Zander to work and go to school simultaneously in hopes to eventually save up for a place of his own.
Despite their promises to Ari's parents, the two develop an enraging and frustrating attraction for each other. As time passes and her affection for Zander increases, she wonders how on earth she'll stay out of trouble this time.
