We always encounter different people everyday yet not all will stay and be there for us.
People come and go thats Shantal's life motto. She doesn't believe in loyalty and honesty because for her all people betrays and commits dishonesty. Her father cheated and because of that her mother died. She was betrayed by her best friend by backstabbing her and telling all her flaws/secrets to others.
