Humans don't understand how someone can be both dead and alive, and that fact scares them, it opens up the possibility of a threat even if there is no evidence of malevolent intent. So, the only solution in the minds of humanity is to dominate and subjugate the unknown variable until it no longer has even the potential to be a threat. They choose to pretend that the unknown variable is lesser, that humanity is superior on no other grounds than that it's humanity.

Danny had been stuck with the G.I.W for years when the Young Justice team rescued him. Broken, beaten, and none the wiser of the greater majority of humans, the humans with kindness in their eyes and light in their souls. He's been trapped in the darkness of greed and fear and violence for far too long, and what's left behind is a fractured mind and a trained weapon. Buried underneath that, however, is a young child who is scared and confused, a child that hasn't seen the light of day in years. That child never expected to see the bright side to existence, to see the light shine in the souls of the righteous. That all changed with one group of heroes, and one family of Bats.

*Undergoing heavy editing, nothing plot-wise is changing, I am only editing grammar, mechanics, vocabulary, sentence variation, and formatting and overall I am just making it a more pleasant and refined read :) I am also deleting the A/Ns at the beginning and end of each chapter

percilla Jackson, or Percy as she was known, lay amidst the carnage, the last ember of life flickering in her sea-green eyes. Her friends, fallen heroes of Olympus, surrounded her, their lifeless forms a chilling testament to the brutal battle. Then, a blinding light consumed her; a chorus of divine voices, Zeus's rage a palpable force, Poseidon's sorrow a tidal wave. Against her will, she was reborn - the Goddess of Justice, Vengeance, Children, and Peace, a cruelly ironic quartet of domains. A century passed, the weight of her impossible responsibilities crushing her. Her pain, far from fading, spiralled into a vortex of despair, threatening to shatter the very fabric of her divine existence. Lord Chaos, ever vigilant, saw her impending destruction. He couldn't allow such a powerful being to unravel, not when the cosmos trembled at the thought. With a flick of his chaotic hand, he sealed her divinity, her memories reduced to a whisper of her name, Percy, and her sea-green eyes a striking contrast to her now youthful appearance. He plucked her from the Olympian realm, depositing her in a dimension where the Old Gods were mere legends, a world shrouded in shadows and echoing with forgotten magic. He chose his vessel carefully: Jason Todd, the Red Hood, a man haunted by his own demons, a man who craved purpose. Nothing destroys proper negotiations like a language barrier, even more so when you're relying on magical translation arrays. Add in the high stakes of a magically binding contract, the cursed Fenton Luck, and a self-sacrificing man who didn't have the good sense to wait before he fell on his own batarang? You had the combination for a wonderfully disastrous misunderstanding. - - - - - - His mentor's tone was filled with shocked awe as he stated, "You just proposed marriage to the most emotionally repressed member of the Justice League." "What?! That's not what I said!" "How," Clockwork asked, "did you even manage that?" "I don't know!" Danny tossed his arms sharply into the air in exasperation as he explained, "I just asked for his name!" "You asked for more than that."
