Even though he is depressed he wants to get better and doesn't want depression to take over his life. One day  his friends finds out about his depression and they want to help him get better even though it will take a long time!

The paladins of the other lions stopped paying attention to him until he went missing one day. Keith, the paladin of the red lion, has noticed how off Lance has been, but when he tried to question it, Lance went missing. None of the other paladins noticed, and now he was the only one who could save lance.
