In the world Max lives in  every one is part animal. There not part animal at brith but on their 16th brithday they go through their changing and get their animal like features. On Maxes 16th brithday what should have been a simple changing into a wolf ends up being a changing into something else. Now hes being forced to learn the truth about his life and his heritage.
