Phife's hometown is safe. It may be nothing more than a melting-pot of bums and runaways, but from her room at the top of the pristine Askan Cathedral, it is her best chance at a better life; one that doesn't involve being her family's shadow. It takes a rebel wannabe, a prodigy with much bigger ambitions, and local stray-turned-legend for her to realize that her plans for a life of freedom involve an unexpected side plot. Aska is on the verge of a major water famine, one that will effect each of the land's nine species equally. In an otherwise colorless world, the Green Land is the nation's only hope for a new water source, they just have to find it. Phife finds herself pulled into the crowd of lake-seekers, hungry for clean water and starving for coin. Separated from the group, a government conspiracy surrounding her own father, and an unanticipated danger lurking in the Green Land cause Phife and her friends to question the premise of it all.

Centuries of war left the world in ashes. Nations fought endlessly over dwindling resources, turning families against each other and weaponizing everything-from bombs to bioweapons to genetics itself. The once-vibrant continent of Virelia, an expansive supercity, became a desert. From this devastation rose Rafri: a new nation ruled by five powerful corporations, promising to guide the survivors toward a fragile peace. Centuries later, Leandra's life seems perfect. Heiress to Virelia Biotek, betrothed to the striking Elias Kael of Nexacorp Systems, she is cared for and protected despite her medical ailments. In the city of Ephyra, she has everything a girl could dream of-until a simple DNA test shatters her world. Her parents aren't her parents; she was stolen. With her parents offering no answers or explanations, Leandra does the only thing she can: she runs. Potoo's life is simple: they steal, they fight, they eat, and then they wake up again tomorrow. In the slums of the outer ring of Ephyra, it's every man for himself, and Potoo liked it that way. That is, until someone with white hair and piercing blue eyes turned everything upside down. Suddenly, survival isn't just about the streets anymore-they're being hunted, and dragged into a mystery involving a girl whose life may change everything. As secrets unravel, Leandra and Potoo discover the truth is far bigger than a stolen child. It's a truth that could heal their shattered world-but only if they survive long enough to see it through. ------------- Status: Hiatus :(
