Two years later, Violet passes away, and the family moves back to their home in Hawaii. Elliott has grown from the small, unpopular boy in middle school, to a star football player who dates the schools cheer captain, but never the less, he tries to reconnect with his childhood best friend- even if his friends do not approve. But he is not the only one that has changed. Maddy struggles to regain a balance after losing her sister, and she tries to push away everything from the past. Even if he was her best friend.
