After the fallout of the third world war a group called Better Living Industries, or BLI/ND, was created, its founders Rowenia and Korse Way. The couple managed to rebuild what would come to be known as Battery City.
To remain in control 5 simple rules were put in place:
1. No colorful clothing- black, grey and white formal clothing only
2. Never go out after dark
3. Never ever leave the city walls
4. No man or women should ever publicly show his emotions or inner thoughts
5. Take one tablet per day of Clondine
Anyone who didn't follow the rules became labelled an enemy of state.
These enemies of state re-branded themselves as the Killjoys
When Mikey Way finds out that his older brother whom he believed dead is actually the leader of a group of BLI/ND's most wanted Killjoys.
Will Mikey join his brother and become what BLI/ND are calling terrorists or will he kill the masked vigilante who has replaced what he thought was his brother?
