Eighteen-year-old Alexander and Samantha have been best friends for a lifetime. From her unexpected illness, and his abusive father, they've been through hell. However, through it all, they cast true smiles. Feelings develop for each other. The only thing standing in the way of them is them. Samantha soon finds out after all the hardships they went through were coming to an end, that she only has one year to live. Can Alexander make her last year, her best year? Will Samantha live a longer or a shorter than expected?

Siblings get separated all the time right? then if you ever find your sibling after years and years of being apart and not even knowing the other existed you'd be thrilled. right? Right? WRONG. Sam, at 17. finds out that her whole life has been a lie. her parents aren't her parents, her beloved brother and favorite person in the world isn't really her biological brother. what would you do if you were in a situation like that? but atleast you'd find out that you had a twin. A person who suddenly finds out that they have a twin is supposed to be really happy. then your twin would be thrilled that they got reunited with their twin and that would make things easier right? As her journey into highschool begins, Sami soon finds out that friendship is the one thing that will keep her going. Her friends all have unique personalities that make each of them special. They support her on each step she takes; bad or good. But, do they all have secrets? Maybe they do? Maybe they don't? Maybe you just have to find out! ~~~~ It's been about 10 years since I wrote this story. I have NO idea what my thought process was. After re-reading and editing it, I've come to the conclusion that this is the craziest story I've ever read. If you like cliché, you'll like this story. Scarlett Martinez has had a tough few years. After the passing of her father a flip switched in her and she lost all of her friends. Going from the River Valley Secondary School's (RVSS) most popular girl to the girl that no one wanted to be around was a bit of an adjustment. After hurting one of the most important people in her life, Nikki Vasquez, she promised herself to never get close to anyone else again and her abusive step-father and drunk of a mother don't make it hard for her to do that. Alexander McLeod suffers from the guilt of his brother's death. After moving to RVSS Alexander became one of the popular guys at school. He's star quarterback of the football team and is dating the 'it' girl in school, Nikki. Things have been going great for him but things don't always stay "perfect". So what will happen when these two polar opposites "randomly" bump into each other? Alex is determined to get to know this mysterious girl while Scarlett tries her hardest to keep her distance from the boy that pushes and pushes and pushes to get closer to her but it's hard to ignore the fact that everyone needs a friend. The bruises and breaks raise suspicions with Alex... not everything can be covered up with makeup. Not to mention the fact that she jumps every time he touches her. Alexander stood before her, his long hair hiding part of his face. He looked devilishly handsome and her heart contracted. "About last night..." Samantha blushed but was abruptly interrupted by Alexander. "Last night was a mistake." He said curtly. Samantha stared at him. She couldn't believe her ears. "I beg your pardon?" "Last night was a mistake. We shouldn't have done it." He repeated, his face expressionless. "So think nothing of it." Samantha's eyes filled with tears as the sting of his words hurt her. How could he say that? Was she just there to while away his time? Last night was perfect for her. It was the best and he ruined it. "Get out," She said bitterly. "I am sorry Sam but we shouldn't have done it." "Don't you dare call me that and get out, damn you!" She yelled. She didn't know she had much venom in her. She watched as Alex hesitated before leaving. "No! No! No!" She chanted. How could she be so stupid? She thought what they had was the beginning of a beautiful marriage but she was wrong. She was used as a one-night fling. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Samantha Sinclair was aware of arranged marriages, knowing that her elder sister was into one. What she did not know was that it was going to be her fate as well. She was going to marry Alexander; the son of a business tycoon. He was a total stranger and they had never spoken a word to each other, yet she was going to marry him not for love or business but for the silly reason that their fathers were best of friends and wanted to keep the two families close. The marriage was going to be a disaster, they both knew it. Samantha did not know what to do with Liam; her high school sweetheart who believed she betrayed him and Alexander was worried about Scarlett, his model fiancee knowing how crazy she was. If they both went ahead with the wedding, will their vow count if they don't mean it or will it give them a chance to stay married and be with their partners??

In an all boys boarding school surrounded by football players 18 year olds Alex, Sam, Jason and Parker have two years left in school. Two years, to find out who they really are or want to be, two years to heal and learn. No one said this was going to be easy. When Jason has to change school because of an incident, he doesn't expect to like it. And he doesn't. but he likes someone. Alex is an introvert. A quiet kid who doesn't like talking to People (except for his best friend Sam) and who likes to be on his own. but that changes when he gets a Roommate. Sam Is Alex' best friend. And Parker is his roommate. They dislike eachother... Until they don't. READ FULL BEFORE STARTING THE STORY: TW: This book is written lightly, but has also some really serious themes that I want you to know about before reading. It talks about abuse and there are some scenes where a character is having a panic attack. If this is too close for you and you don't feel comfortable reading things like that then It might be best to not start reading /genuine <3 I want you to know before reading that this is a book with a good ending!
