It's been seven months, seven months of no human contact, scavenging resources from nearby towns that are slowly crumbling to dust.

The United Rebel Front led a planetary scale rebellion among many countries and were against the UN itself. That lead to a planetary war called the 'Insurrection War'. A biological weapon was created and was used on the front lines to turn soldiers into monsters, but they couldn't keep control of the monsters....and that led to a zombie outbreak.

Now I live alone in the Forest away from the zombies and other humans. I've been turning insane or is it that's what I'm thinking that I am turning insane but anyways, I am alone...that's what I thought anyways.

(Idea & Inspiration of this zombie apocalyptic story goes to @CrystalScherer) -The Virus Within [Similar Hierachy]

(And the idea came partly from resident Evil)

This is a second view point from my original story - A Different Virus - Heartfire. I highly advise reading the original book first. Intro: Laura was a happy child without a care in the world. She loved her parents and life was perfect. Nothing seemed like it could go wrong. People started talking about a bad flu that was spreading and sending some into a coma. Her parents grew worried and stocked the house in case of a pandemic. Months later another virus appeared. Her family was shocked when the news people started reporting that zombies were actually real and not just part of a horror movie. They were appearing in every country. Her parents reassured her that none of the zombie sightings had been anywhere close to them. Her life is turned upside down when her father ends up in hospital with the bad flu and mother exiles her upstairs for her safety. She was never allowed downstairs again. Weeks pass and the streets become deserted with the exception of the red eyed zombies that wandered around. One night she notices a swiftly moving figure with glowing blue eyes in the street below. Should she call out or remain silent? Is this fleeting shadow something that can help her or could this mysterious figure be even more dangerous than the zombies themselves? ---------------------- Ranked #1 Apr 10, 2018 (A huge thank you to all who read and voted!) This story is copyright and built from my own imagination. This book was a special request from someone who helped me a lot. This viewpoint has less action than the original. The cover was made by @All_AboutAssymetry. A huge thanks to her! Copyright September 2016. All Rights Reserved. Readers may not copy, alter, or steal this story. REVISED EDITION COMING OUT MONTHLY/COMPLETED In a world overrun by zombies, A single bite heralds doom - except for Kaindra, who defies death itself, being undead already. ******** As humanity struggles to adapt to the new reality of zombies-infested streets and lurking supernatural creatures from ancient myths and legends, survival becomes an ever-evolving challenge. Survival is a constant battle not only against the undead but also against supernatural creatures and their zealous followers. The relentless onslaught of zombies and the mysterious reemergence of mythical beings push society to its limits. Civilization's last bastions fall one by one, teetering on the brink of collapse. As these ancient myths awaken, they reveal intentions that are far from clear- some may hold the key to salvation, while others could herald further doom. The question remains: Can humanity unravel the mysteries of these legendary beings in time to save themselves, or will they fall prey to the very legends they once dismissed? ___ Excerpt: Taking a deep breath, I lean closer to the mirror, my skin prickling. I thought it was a trick of the light, but as I stare at my reflection, my fragile lies crumble away. The reflection staring back at me feels unrecognizable. My once deep, dark brown eyes now glimmer with an otherworldly light, like twin moons suspended in a sea of silver. The faint glow within them swirls softly, catching the dim flicker of flame I summoned, like ripples across a moonlit lake. Their alien intensity sends a chill down my spine. The orbs seemed to hold a universe within, depths of endless mysteries and ancient wisdom beyond my grasp. ___ Warning: Mentions of suicide and self-harm Beautiful cover made by @scmimi. The Day the Sea Rose

17 parts Complete

The tsunami was just the beginning. Triggered by unstable tectonic activity and intensified by rising sea temperatures, a catastrophic wave wipes out entire coastlines. But something older than the ocean is unearthed in the chaos. As floodwaters recede, survivors find bodies washing ashore-strangely intact, immune to decay, and slowly reanimating. Scientists trace the cause to a dormant pathogen, long trapped in Arctic permafrost, now released by rapid climate shifts. The virus is ancient. Aquatic. And it spreads through water. With communications down and the infection crossing shorelines, a small group of survivors must uncover the truth behind the outbreak-before the rising tide brings more than just destruction. #climatehorror #sciencefiction #zombievirus #permafrostvirus #tsunami #apocalypticthriller #ecoapocalypse #pandemicfiction #survivalstory #postapocalyptic #scientifichorror #waterbornevirus
