Book 2 in the Generations Series.

'"So if we're harbouring criminals, then I'd quite like to know their names," Marlene looked between the two boys.

"I'm James Potter," the one with the glasses winked.

"Sirius Black," the second grinned, "and who are you?"

"Marlene- Marlene McKinnon," Marlene replied, "and this is-"

"Remus Lupin," Remus said.

"Well Marlene- Marlene McKinnon and Remus Lupin, I am sure we will be seeing more of you," Sirius Black gave them a cocky grin, "but for now, me and my good friend here must bid you goodbye."

Sirius grabbed James's arm and the two hurtled off as the prefect who they were hiding from stuck his head into the compartment.

"Oh Hogwarts is going to be so much fun!" Marlene grinned at Remus.'

Marlene McKinnon had always been excited to begin her education at Hogwarts. Growing up, her parents had always told Marlene and her sister stories of their time at the school.

But Marlene is growing up in troubled times. Voldemort is slowly gaining power, and it's just a matter of time before the whole wizarding world is wiped out.

Some stories have a happy ending. Unfortunately, Marlene's is not one of those stories.

"I don't know what you're all upset about Lily," Marlene said carefully, "This whole dance was your idea. You did know that dances require dates, right? And you've turned down several boys ... I figured you had a plan or something ... " In response, Lily just moaned, and threw her face back down into the pillow, "I did." Marlene raised an eyebrow, "Well, what happened then?" Lily pulled herself up into a sitting position, clearly about to go into a serious rant. "This dance," she sighed, "was going to be my way to ... well... ugh it doesn't even matter Marlene, he asked someone else." "Who!?" Marlene demanded, unsure of what to think, but despite the indications that Lily longed to rant, the redhead didn't answer. "You designed this entire dance just to get one boy to ask you out?" Mary realized, raising an eyebrow at her friend, impressed by the girl's ambition... ~ Lily designed a whole school dance so the boy she likes can ask her out. "I have a more personal question," she ignored his arrogance. Watching him had sparked a new interest that seemed to overpower any interest she had in their previous conversation. "Oh?" he seemed surprised but didn't allow it to affect his composure. "Go ahead then." "Why me?" "I beg your pardon?" Sirius seemed confused. Marlene felt embarrassed asking it but it wouldn't be the first time it had danced around in her head. Sirius was the type of guy that could have any girl he wanted. He was smart, funny, immeasurably handsome, and he bloody well knew it. Though he was bit egotistical at times, his hot headedness had seemed to settle down immensely from the boy she had known from fifth and sixth year. "Of all the girls you could have picked from, you chose me. I want to know why." Sirius was looking at her funny - it was not quite the reaction she had been expecting. "Of all the girls I could have picked from. What exactly is that supposed to mean? Isn't it obvious?" * It's Marlene's seventh year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and she has graduated from blundering student to emotional train wreck. She knew that seventh year was going to be challenging, but she never imagined that N.E.W.T.s would be the least of her worries. The pressure of suppressing her emotions begins to take its toll, and it's only a matter of time before she breaks. She knows that she must tell Sirius how she truly feels if they ever stand a chance. As she struggles to win Sirius back, dark forces continue to loom over Hogwarts. Suddenly, Marlene finds herself immersed in something unexpected; threatening everything she knows and loves. Relationships blossom, alliances are formed, and adventures continue as Marlene and her friends enjoy their last moments before the war. They must rely on one another to fight the darkness, and together she and Sirius may just have a fighting chance after all. Highest Rank: #1 Blackinnon 03.13.21

Halfway through her time at Hogwarts, Gryffindor student Alula gets caught up with the famous group of pranksters: James Potter, Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, and Peter Pettigrew. Little does she know when she finds them in a hidden room within the castle, her whole life would be flipped upside down. Who knew one room would eventually mean so much more to her? Join her on the adventure and she enters the best and sadly, also the worst years of her life... *** "You're probably wondering why you've never seen this room before yea?" I nodded. "So I'm not crazy?" I looked at him and he shook his head. "Nope." "So what is this place?" I asked as Sirius jumped over onto the couch next to James. "Well, we call it a couple of things. We all have our preferred nickname." Sirius said before Peter spoke up. "I don't prefer anything. It's just a place where everything is hidden. You lost something in the castle? No worries. It's definitely in here if you need it." He perked up and smiled at me. Remus leaned forward and handed me a glass of butterbeer. "Make yourself at home." I smiled and kicked off my shoes. "Thanks." James flicked a lighter as he spoke. "Personally I like to call it our Green Room because it's the only place in or on the castle grounds where we can smoke and you can't smell it. McGonagall's got no clue." "I like it. It's like a fox den. Warm and protected." I smiled.
