Alice, a girl losing her vision, is diagnosed with a disturbing and frightening syndrome called "Charles Bonnet syndrome" which makes her see things such as people with deformed faces, and any other manner of things, who has multiple panic attacks and horrific nightmares is still trying to cope with her syndrome.
Charlie, a boy prone to irony, who skirts around his aunt and uncle and multiple more important cousins, hiding his self-diagnosed Alice in Wonderland syndrome- which makes ordinary objects appear bigger and smaller than normal, and distorts the world around him, is still trying to keep his secret of his syndrome, while juggling skipping school because the visions are too distracting, and trying to cope as well.
Both will find each other, each trying to fit their own metaphorical armor to brace themselves for the onslaught of the visions and demons haunting them.
