Gertrude Smith is a twenty year old women going through life just like everyone else. She has had her up and her downs. She seems like a normal girl: good grades, on the college swim team, has many friends, catches the eyes of many guys, and just comes out as a happy person. However, she doesn't feel this way. She has been through bullying, relationship problems with her biological father and ex lover, coping with her emotions as well as everyone else's problems, trying to fit in with her family, dealing with her mental disability, and a secret that could change her life in a good or bad way. She feels trapped, from being called names to being blackmailed by the one person who everyone looks up to. Will she be able to get through this struggle by herself or will she need to be saved by her family, friends, or the mysterious girl she met online named Kel. But who would want to help the girl who, in her eyes, is the Frankenstein creature?
Charlie Page is the new tomboyish girl of Downtown Hill High. She loves basketball, art, music and her twin brother Chase. Nothing seems to impress her until she meets Pitt, the charismatic and introspective star swimmer of Downtown Hill High. One feature she noticed in him, his eyes. His gaze is mesmerizing: as pitch black as night and as sharp as eagle's. A full story teller.
Pitt Nigel - aka Poseidon - is no bad boy, unlike his cousin Taylor Jones who rules Downtown Hill High with his blondie Samantha. The cousins aren't really fond of each other and Pitt, despite his fame was one quiet and insecure persona until he met Charlie, the versatile tomboy. To him, she seems different not only through her baggy and oversized outfits but mostly through her aura. She got something he couldn't name and their first eye contact felt like chemistry.
But what will happen when both are paired up for a two months school project? Will they go beyond the superficial? Since the project paired them, will it also split and tear them apart?
Two wandering soul trying to define their own personalities. A tomboy. A star swimmer. A teen fiction. Not too complicated. Not too cliché.
