Chloe Thompson and Alex Cortez were completly ordinary people... up to the point where one of them found a polite little alien working for an intergalactic government in a random field. After learning of the being's intentions, the two of them soon become some of the few people in favor of a world altering decision, but as for the alien, it's starting to seem like Alex and Chloe are the only trustworthy humans in the universe.
