Summer hasn't started off well, Christina had a bad fall that lead to her horses injury now faced by herself, and her father/ trainer and competition team. She's been riding for 11 years or so and has a dream to become an international rider for the irish showjumping team. Along her journey she meets a young man about her age and something about him puts her on edge, or is it just his charm and endearing comments? And with the long lead up to her big competition things are getting a little hectic and with ups and downs and a big secret to be kept about a budding romance will everything stay together or will 'his' secret tear them apart for good? Even after their family discourage their relationship.

I was taught from birth, through force, how to be perfect for him, how to obey everything he said, and how to be his devoted follower. I was being prepared to become his perfect wife. But when he came, he brought someone else with him, making me the happiest person, but not for long. He killed her in front of me just to show that now the place of his wife would only be mine-the place I never wanted.
