The strong ones have to protect the weak against the darkness. But where does the darkness come from? From the suffering of people's hearts?
And additionally to that, what if the strongest magician in your school is your bully?
What if this bully begins to develope feelings for you?

"Shift." His voice hit me like a serrated blade as he stepped out of the crude semicircle of hardened wolves that had formed around me. We have been on the run for days now. The safety of my children is my priority. I was betrayed in the worst way, and I could not watch him hurt us any longer.
