Life is pretty good for the orphaned 14 year old Iris Florence. She lives in a foster home with her foster sister Khalida Barnes, and her only friend Charlie Phillips lives across the street. But when her school is hit by bombs with strange gases coming out of them, her life is turned upside down. The gas turns out to be one that will turn you into an invisible sanity sucking monster that feeds on the innocent, and it turns out that Iris has been exposed to enough of it to make her afraid. But, there is cure, that can only be acquired by her and her friends. Will she get the cure and save innocent lives? Or will she fail and live the rest of her life as a monster
