1) Pubblicare senza editing.
Una rilettura non basta. Gli autori sono troppo affezionati al proprio libro per valutarne i difetti; l'editor conosce i meccanismi interni al testo. Un Editore serio sottopone comunque l'opera a una revisione. Sempre che naturalmente l'autore non si chiami Aldo Busi. 
2) Copertina. Deve essere affidata a un grafico editoriale.
3) Impaginazione, deve avere un carattere maturo, professionale.
4) Conversione e formattazione dell'ebook artigianale.
5) Fretta nel pubblicare.
6) Promozione. Non si promuove un libro linkando sui social la pagina di Amazon, e definendosi scrittori su Facebook. Questa è la strada giusta per decretare la morte commerciale dell'opera e rimediare sonore pernacchie.
7) Mancanza di cura nella scrittura. Autopubblicarsi senza conoscere la grammatica e l'ortografia.
