Annabelle Richardson, a thirteen year old girl from California, wants nothing more but a normal summer vacation. Unfortunately, that all goes wrong whenever something evil makes it's way into her small little town on the border of the Atlantic Ocean. She runs away hastily in order to save herself from the darkness as it swallows up her home. Anna has no choice but to accompany this abnormal boy from who knows where in order to survive what's to come. Anna wants nothing to do with him, but as time passes, and the situation worsens, she finds herself falling in love. Faced with fear, devastation, and total loss and destruction, has Anna found the light in the darkness. Now I guess the real question is, will she be able to make it out alive? Or, will she too, end up face to face with death itself.
