She has lived with the humans ever since she escaped the clutches of the terrible monsters of the sea when she was 6, the Diru. Malerie longs to be with her family again and be in the sea. Will Malerie's decisions turn out how she wants her life to go? Or will they destroy not only her but those she loves?
