Carmella Adante: A refugee in all senses. Unable to find the strength to face her abusive family and boyfriend in Miami, she flees to the big apple, hoping to start fresh. To survive in New York, Carmella plans to do one simple thing: lay low, and keep silent.
But Carmella's carefully thought out plan crashes and burns when a man more intoxicating than her favorite margarita crashes into her life.

Enter Francesco Adomi: If you looked up "bad news" in the dictionary, his name would be the first to come up. He's got a smile, a gun, and a knife. Assuredly, the most fearsome of the three is his smile. He is a man that parts seas of crowds with merely the use of his last name, and he's taking New York by a storm. Known as the underworlds king, Francesco is bringing all of the power back to where he thinks it should be: Organized crime.
