Since the dawn of time, the armies of Heaven and Hell have waged an endless war.
Drawn to this conflict was the Charred Council, an entity bound by the ancient laws to preserve order and balance. It held that any great power, left unchecked, threatened the very fabric of the universe.
With the Charred Council's intervention, in time Heaven and Hell came to honor the Council and its laws, for none be they Angel or Demon were beyond the swift and terrible justice of the Council's enforcers.
There was the Weiss Schnee white Rider of Conquest, then there was Yang Xiao Long the Red Rider of War, the Black Rider of Famine Blake Belladonna, and finally their leader the Pale Rider of Death Ruby Rose. These four were a fearsome sisterhood known simply as the Four Horsemen.

When Arc was kicked out of Beacon due to the Council, many of his friends comforted him. But Weiss and Yang eventually made him get into the Habit of Smoking. This path would eventually make him exclude himself from his family, but also making him meet new friends. And a new family, aswell.

For possibly the first time, the Charred Council has disappeared. There are no traces and no clue to discover. They have just disappeared. In a way, they have gone dormant. The balance between Heaven and Hell is unstable; war rages like it has never before through the skies, the land, the water. All throughout the known universe and beyond they fight, destroying everything. Humanity has grown somewhat back, but, with Heaven and Hell fighting once more, their existence is dwindling. Through the absence of the Council, the Horsemen appear. With no masters, they are lost, confused. Secrets lie upon Earth's surface. Secrets lie in the remains of a human farm, owned and worked by a woman who has no clue of the potential that she stands over. Secrets lie with a group of humans fighting to stay alive and provide a living for others. Secrets lie in a mysterious place inaccessible to many. And the people they meet? Only stuff of the legends.
