Killing Clarence Milby

She talked to John Millings every night, sitting on the edge of his bed, the lamp across the room visible through her, the light bulb where her heart should be. She appeared from out of his dreams, saying she was his wife, pleading for him to avenge her death and the death of their children. The killer, Clarence Milby was still alive and she could not rest until he brought her justice. Milby, according the this lovely apparition murdered her over fifty years earlier near the north Texas border.
John Millings came to believe that if he didn't kill Clarence Milby, these conversations would go on for ever.
