In the not-to-distant future, a boy and a woman are chased by a relentless killer across what once was the western United States. Prison wardens rule like feudal kings, intelligent machines patiently wait to be awoken, and the moon colony is frantically asking what happened to everyone down on Earth. Carter and his boss don't have any designs on saving the world, they just want to survive through to the next day, but there are plenty of people who would deny them even that.
I plan to update this every Sunday, perhaps additionally on Wednesdays or Thursdays when I'm feeling up to it.
Also, btw, it's a working cover, I don't own the artwork or anything.

**COMPLETED** Several years after the world succumbed to a deadly strain of measles that turned those infected into crazed, mindless cannibals, Charlotte wanders the backroads alone, content with surviving day-to-day. That's until she crosses paths with Nate and his daughter, Emmi. Emmi is not and cannot be vaccinated against the disease, so the only way to protect her and give her some kind of life is to reunite her with her estranged mother in a quarantine zone on the other side of the country. Charlotte wants nothing to do with Nate or the girl who reminds her of her dead sister. She does not want to go through the grief of losing people again if something bad were to happen. And something bad does happen when Emmi is kidnapped, and it's no one's fault but Charlotte's. Through this obligation alone, Charlotte feels like it is her responsibility to get Emmi back, to right her wrong. It's been ten years since the fall of humanity. I was only ten years old when the zombies took over. The military told us to flee underground, explaining that it was safer. The zombies are smart, too smart. They can learn to hide themselves. Some of them disguise themselves to look like normal people. We tell them apart by checking their eyes. Zombies have enlarged pupils compared to humans. In a post apocalyptic world where humans are going extinct by the others who currently now roam the quiet vacant world taking the lives off the remaining humans that still survive for the last thing they have. Hope. They arrived on earth unexpected already taking the lives over the half the world's population. They took the lives of our own and the life we all lived before less than 72 hours. Now we the remaining have adapted ourselves into living a life of dying or surviving. But things are now going downhill when we all have awaken and the young boy has found the truths.
