On a sullen and wintry night of December 1923, the Luxor family line was terminated by the Order, a group of radicals set on a transfer of power.

When actually, that's only what had been written in the history books.

Princess Aurora, the seven-year-old daughter of the reigning queen of Terralux, was the only survivor that night. Forced through the Link, a passage to the surface world, Aurora discovers that Terralux, her home, is really an underground civilization unknown to those on the surface.

Almost a century later, Lily Luxor is alive.

A New York teen, she knows drama like the back of her hand. But she's not up for Broadway. Lily is an artist and has always been one. After creating a series of drawings that she cannot explain, it takes the help of a new friend to piece together the story that lies within each stroke of her pencil. It's from this same friend that Lily is faced with the revelation that she is the only living heir to the Luxor throne, and a key player in stealing it back from Wendell Griffin, the self-appointed king of Terralux.
But security forces are being tightened in the underground city when Wendell catches word that the Luxor line is still intact. The fact that his son, Raphael, has gone missing doesn't do much to help Lily's case, either. She finds herself trapped; her only hope of returning home becoming a new passage being built by the Lux rebels. Missing on the surface, wanted underground, she has to find a way to prove the treason committed by Terralux's king and recover the throne, but also get back home without revealing Terralux's existence.
Whether she wants to be the new monarch or not is not important. She'll handle that if she gets that far. All that matters is the unspoken duty to fulfill a century-old wish. She must avenge Terralux, or the Luxor family line will finally die with her, Griffin's injustices lost forever in time.

"Don't run away now darling." He taunted, his steps coming to a halt as she turned around and pressed him against the wall. She snatched her knife from her thigh and held it to his throat, his smirk growing bigger and bigger as she tilted the sharpness to his delicate skin. "I could kill you right now, burn you or wrap my hands around your throat and kill you." She muttered angrily. "You could, but you won't." He shot back. She pressed the knife further in to his neck, his gold chain dangling below her hand. "Why's that?" She sneered, wondering why he wasn't more upset. "Because deep down I know you want that knife dragging along your body, as those hands are tied to my bedposts, and your completely naked skin is aching and shaking for me to fuck the shit out of you, over and over and over, again." He faded into a whisper. The grip on her knife loosen and so did the knots in her stomach. Without thought he smashed her against the wall, grabbed her chin with his large hand and pinned the other next to her head. "Not so cocky are we now?" He poked. "Fuck- you-" she choked out as her lips were smushed together. "Not yet."

"You can't tell anyone." His words hit me hard, but I was ready for them. I grimaced slightly, but did my best to hide it as I squeezed my arms in response. "Fine," I said, nodding at him but not wanting to meet his eyes. I was met with silence. "Was there anything else?" I bit off, my tone a little more irritated than I intended it to be. He raised an eyebrow at me, and I felt almost naked as he studied me. His expression wasn't completely cold, but I couldn't figure out what else it held. "I wasn't expecting this," he admitted eventually, as if this were the easiest topic in the world. "I didn't ask for it to happen right now. In fact, the timing is rather terrible. And I'm sorry for that. But no one can know about this, okay? No one." "I said fine," I snapped. "Why don't you just reject me and put me out of my misery? I guarantee I can do it again." He blinked, taken aback by her sudden outburst. "You... already had a mate? And you were rejected? Who is he?" "You don't need to know," I replied, tilting my head to one side as I narrowed my eyes at him. "If you want to keep secrets, then so can I." I wasn't off to a great start with him, but only the Moon Goddess knew that it was only going to get worse from here. . . . Or will I constantly be rejected? One thing is for sure; once I turn eighteen, I'm leaving. I will make my way in life, even if it means being on my own for eternity. Writer's Note: Hybrid's Fury Unleashed has depictions of verbal bullying abuse. There are mature intimate scenes as well as mature language that are not suitable for readers under the age of 18. Mild gore and assault are also a factor as you get further into the book. With all of this being said; read at your own risk. I'll post trigger warnings as needed. Enjoy your reading and have a fantastic day. Also, please be a dear and don't plagiarize my work. Hybrid's Fury Unleashed is my first attempt at writing a paranormal shifter novel. Please be mindful of this as you proceed. If you notice areas where I can improve my style of writing in this genre please be kind in lending constructive criticism in a kind manner.
