The modern world has gone through the greatest change it has, without a doubt, ever seen. Through the mysterious powers of a growing popular prophet humans are now able to identify their soul mate from the red glow that emerges from their chest the moment they meet for the first time. Finding the one who will forever complete you has never been easier. But for teenagers Ken and Matt, its probably the worst thing to have ever happened in their lives. Afterall, among dealing with college decisions, family expectations and teenage self-esteem its not easy learning the guy you bullied and the guy who tormented you for years is your one and only soulmate.

NOTE: i drew inspiration for this from an art i happened to see online shared by someone else, i believe the art is by satinhands on tumblr. i have no intention of stealing, i was inspired and wanted to add to it with my own view of the concept.

In this society, everyone has a soulmate. And the way to find yours is just look. Along with a soulmate, everyone has a small tattoo on their cheek with a symbol. Some could be a star, a flower, a yinyang, a fish, or even waves. There are so many people that the symbols are almost limitless. The tattoos don't care about gender or number. There could be gay matches, and there could even be polyamorous matches. The tattoos will tingle when you are near to your sm. For 2 years Violet also paniced but she knew that some people don't find their sm for 5-10 years after they come of age, so she wasn't as scared as Harper.
