In an attempt to salvage the situation and save her friendship, she decides to enlist the help of one of her brother's friends to pose as the supposed new boyfriend, but there's something more than a little suspicious about Luke Haywood, and it's not just his unnerving ability to make their relationship seem anything but fake. She's almost positive he's hiding something, and with everything else spiraling dangerously out of control, she can't afford to leave his secret in the dark.

Nicky thought she got things all figured out. She'd be very good at school and be the valedictorian of the single-section class of 2010 of the highly looked-up science high school in their island.
