    Juniper West is different, even by her standards. She was eight when her parents mysteriously disappeared and since then she's lived with her aunt in tiny little Checker Mize, where everyone knows everyone.
    
    But then she is literally kidnapped by two incredibly good looking guys and taken to St. Clementine's, a school for children with extraordinary gifts and abilities. Halfway around the world. In AMERICA.
    
    There, she is sent on a life-threatening journey to retrieve objects along with two other students; one being an impossibly happy girl and the other an infuriating blonde boy who thinks he's all that, or else the world will basically end in flames.
    
    No pressure, right?
    
    But hey, what else can a girl who literally glows in the dark expect?
