This is the season where it starts off with the mutagen outbreak happening- where mutagen canisters were spilled throughout New York City. Casey gets introduced earlier on in the season, Spike has been mutated to Slash (but the Mighty Mutanimals don't exist), Tigerclaw recently came back from the worm with a hatred for April and Casey, Bebop and Rocksteady haven't mutated, and Karai has just been mutated- and is nowhere to be found. --|WARNING!: Fighting scenes with the use of weapons are described in the story. I was skeptical about the new version of TMNT, but I found myself enjoying it and the recently released movie to the point where I'm writing fanfiction, and let me tell you, I haven't written any in a while. I heard the show was cut short from what was originally planned, so I decided to explore what a longer Krang Arch could have looked like with my OC: Tina Tortuga. Obviously, there will be spoilers. Tina is from a world much like ours and has grown up on TMNT, though she never gave Rise! another chance after the pilot. One day, she finds a mysterious emerald earring that once belonged to her father and puts it on, isekaing her to the Rise! reality. Although she comes to accept and maybe even appreciate the characters' differences from their previous incarnations, she finds herself surprised to be falling for the most divergent of the turtles. Can she accept these budding feelings, even if they get in the way of her going home? Read on to find out! Of course, I own nothing. April O'Neil: So, you wrote a book... Me: A long-ass book. April: A long-ass book! How did it come about? Me: Well, actually, I was just looking for a xreader story with an adult Donnie, where the female character is strong and independent, doesn't need to be rescued all the time, and isn't a giggling schoolgirl. April: And you didn't find anything? Me: Don't get me wrong, April! There are so incredibly great fanfics and xreader stories out there, and I ate them all up! But I needed a new kick and I wanted something epic, dramatic that involved the mystical powers of the turtles and their further developments. April: And then you started writing yourself? Me: The story came about on its own. In my head. And at some point I just had to write it down, otherwise I would have exploded. With the writing, it didn't become a typical xreader story with the "y/n" in it, because that had irritated me. I know that the "y/n" comes out of an inclusive thought, and I think that's good and right. Unfortunately it blocked me, the heroine in my story was too complex and too concrete, and so I gave it up, even if it was no longer a real xreader story. April: And now you're writing a second book? Me: Exactly. The sequel. I'm on it. April: Do you want to give us a little teaser? Me: Well, there's still Leo and his complicated relationship with my heroine. And in the sequel, he finds out that he actually likes rabbits, too. April: Yeeeah? Me: No, no - I don't want to give too much away! April: Am I also on board again?
