Book Two of the Unnatural Trilogy

As the Unnatural live out their lives in Sector Nine, a resistance group based outside the Sectors, tensions rise uneasily. Troubling dreams about the return of an old enemy plague Grace, while Byron searches restlessly for any information about Veronica's whereabouts.
Thomas believes that he has the upper hand in the struggle to control the Unnatural, but Peyton acts as though he has something sinister in store that will sway that control.
Veronica struggles to live in a society outside the Sectors, where she learns about her past and the significance of her memories.
