Life gets twisty sometimes.

After a day fraught with betrayals resulting in the loss of her job, her home, and her boyfriend, Twenty-seven year old Rika Birmingham, British-American by genetics – Japanese by birth, is about to lose the one thing that truly matters in her life.

Or is she?

Lucky has been her best friend and constant companion for twenty years, and the only family she's known for the past eighteen. Now, she just needs to get him to the hospital in time save his life. But when their trip is unavoidably delayed and Lucky dies en-route, he has no intention of leaving her - especially not now. Then again, maybe he won't have to.

When a series of synchronistic events inadvertently lands his soul in the body of a would-be bridge jumper, world renowned Japanese-Korean artist, Jin Yoshikawa, it appears Lucky may just have a second chance to remain by the side of the woman he loves.

Jin however, had decided not to jump and wants his body back, but Lucky has no intention of leaving and it seems the two are now karmicly bound to share his body - at least for the time being. And when a spur of the moment decision on Lucky's part employs Rika as the artist's live-in assistant while he recovers and prepares for an upcoming show, Jin winds up with a housemate he doesn't want, intervention he doesn't desire, and feelings for her his ingrained racism won't readily let him admit.

Not to mention the likely normal complications you might expect in your life when having to share your body with the soul of a deceased cat in love with his mistress.

Some stories aren't about falling in love - they're about discovering it was never what you thought it was. Sameera has always believed love was a fairytale meant for someone else. Fiercely independent, she's built walls too high to climb - until Saharsh enters her world with a quiet intensity that refuses to be ignored. What begins as a reluctant partnership - born of circumstance and burdened with secrets - slowly turns into something deeper. But Sameera's heart has learned to flinch before it feels, and Saharsh hides pain behind every soft smile. As they walk the line between healing and heartbreak, they're forced to face a truth they've long buried: What if the love we need isn't the kind we were taught to want? In a world where trust feels rare and vulnerability is risky, Never Unoved is a slow-burn emotional journey of two guarded souls discovering that sometimes, the love story that changes everything... is the one you never believed you deserved. Character Introduction Sameera Gayaki, 22, is in her final year of Computer Engineering at Atharva Institute. Quiet, practical, and deeply thoughtful, she's the kind of girl who fades into the background - by choice. Raised in a modest Maharashtrian household, she's focused on building a stable future, not chasing love. But fate has a way of ignoring carefully drawn plans. Saharsh Wankhade, also 22, is new to Mumbai, pursuing his MBA. Charming, confident, and musically gifted, he's used to attention - but rarely lets people close. Behind his composed exterior lies hidden heartbreak and the weight of family expectations. Sameera intrigues him. And despite her resistance, Saharsh begins to break through the silence she wears like armor. When their paths finally collide, neither of them is prepared for the change it brings.
