Everyone has a story to be shared. Whether it be a sad, joyful, or even powerful moment in their past, everyone can think of something that they can write their story about. And yet, even though she is well aware of this fact, Lydia Douglas keeps finds that she is unable to express herself. All the while, drama starts, causing Lydia and her friends to discover unexpected secrets, whether it be about love, family, insecurities, or a startling past. Conflicted, Lydia looks for a place where she can escape, finding peace with a quiet companion and memoirs written by her decreased older sibling, Jessica Morris and Evan Douglass. However, while reading the treasured stories allows Lydia to learn about herself, Lydia still needs to find a way for everyone to make it through the first roller coasters of high school. ~ "It's true." He agreed. "You're prettier with makeup on." I let my hair cover my face, hiding away from him. Somehow how, even though it was exactly what I wanted him to say, I was disappointed. But he stepped towards me, closer and closer, until our feet were almost touching. Startled, I looked up to meet his gaze. His hand grazed my cheek as he brushed my hair away from my face. Leaning in, he whispered, "But you're happier without it. And when you're happy, you're beautiful."
