I rub the pads of my thumb on his cheek, letting the tears drip down my cheeks on to his. He smiles at me, blood oozing out if his mouth.
"Please dont go...." I whisper, bending my head down to press my forehead against his. "Never planned to, my love." He grunts. His eyes close and he takes a deep breath. "Im always going to be there. Stay with luke...he seemed to have loved you more than I ever could have." I glance over at luke. The burning flame in his eyes, simmering down. He mouthed an 'I'm sorry' and glanced away out of guilt. His head tilted to the aide in my arms. His breath hitched in his throat he gritted out one last thing.
"I love you Lillian..."
After that, it seemed as if life couldn't go on...but my heart ached for another one, giving off one last light.
