Rachel and her friend, Madison, moved to Tulsa a little over a year ago and became close friends with the gang. That summer, Rachel's older sister comes back from staying at their dad's for a few months and reunites with everyone. Rachel and Ponyboy confess their feelings for one another, and Sky gets engaged. Everything seems to be going well until the night Johnny and Ponyboy have a bad run-in with some Socs and find themselves hiding out in Windrixville. Everyone has their own way of coping with the events that follow. Even years later, grief still follows them and secrets about that summer are still waiting to be revealed.

[CURRENTLY BEING EDITED. I just finished chapter 6, so after that Winnie becomes Allison and instead of being Soda's twin she's like 11 months younger than him. The writing style will also be a little different] Fantastic. First I failed to mediate a family argument, now my baby brother and best friend are on the run for murder. This night cannot get any worse. And through everything that's been going on, the only person who can calm my anxiety is the last person I would expect to. And I can't help but wonder if one day they'll abandon me too. But let me introduce myself first. Most know me merely as Winnie Curtis. Only those closest to me get to call me "Sissy," and only one person is allowed to call me "Doll" without getting their teeth knocked in. Lots of people probably only know me as "that greaser girl." But ask any Soc and they'll tell you that i'm that greaser girl who will beat the tar out of anyone who dares hurt her brothers. I know y'all have probably heard our story before.
