In this modern twist to J.R.R. Tolkien's "The Hobbit", we meet our main character, a young woman named Abigail Baggs. An aspiring author, she's offered what she thinks is a job in writing for an acclaimed, unknown movie director. But the last thing she expected was to have fourteen men show up at her door and ask for her help in reclaiming their "turf" from a rival gang.

Definitely not an acclaimed movie director.

Confused, and a bit freaked out by this sudden change of events, she is wary to agree to help this gang of men with guns and a hit list themselves, but the rewards do seem promising. Then she can fulfill her dream of moving to England to write her book with her aging grandfather, Robert Baggs.

But will Abigail agree to go with them? And how will they react when they find out who- and what- she is?
