Calysta Harmon lives with her God parents after her father died when she was younger. The Harmons' are known for taking in 'problem children' which leaves Calysta with three younger sisters and a brother, all with their own issues. Calysta is beautiful, smart and popular until junior high where a misunderstanding turns her best friend and the entire student body against her, making her an outcast. Due to constant bullying, she finds herself in constant anxiety when she thinks of social situations. Unable to talk to or even look in the eye of anyone outside her family, she tries her best to be invisible, especially in school. She's praying for senior year to breeze by when Asa, a 17 year old law breaker is welcomed into her family for one last chance for a good life. Asa makes it his personal duty to get rid of Calysta's social anxiety unless his past comes back to bite him.
