Lorena Balgruff is the daughter of Astrid and Arnbjorn, therefore she was trained, since birth, as an assassin of the infamous Dark Brotherhood. One day, one of her jobs goes terrible wrong when a dragon attacks. After the battle, Lora wakes up and discovers that she had become blind but was granted the ability to see souls by an unwanted guest.
She finds that as the Dovahkiin , she is becoming more and more detached from her family. This will create complications in the future. Complications that could end in blood and death.
This story covers the main quest and part of the Dark brotherhood quests.

Third story to "His Harbinger," sequel to "Something to Protect." Everything makes much more sense if you at least read "His Harbinger" first. Vilkas x Dragonborn (established) Farkas x Lydia (also established and a bit background) Based on my play through of the Dragonborn DLC with my Dragonborn Krinna Dovh, a female Nord. Krinna has visions and premonitions so there are some things she just knows (continuing a headcannon established in the first two books). Mostly told from Vilkas's perspective, with occasional snippets from the Dragonborn's perspective. Also explores aspects of married life; Vilkas being hot-tempered, but sweet and loyal. Story is set after the Companions quest line, the civil war, and the main story line is complete (events of "His Harbinger") and after the Dawnguard DLC (events of "Something to Protect") Also not entirely cannon compliant. And of course this is a fanfiction, the only thing unique to me is my specific characterization of the Dragonborn, everything else belongs to Bethesda, including portions of the dialogue. And lastly, marked mature for some strongly suggestive occasions (I won't write the details, but they're married), and occasional vulgar language.Complete

Much of the story is based off of my most recent playthrough- I had never met Serana before and I truly loved Aela the Huntress as my companion, but once I met Serana, I threw Aela to the wolves, so to speak.
